this doesn't constitute evidence. We don't know the provenance of the photograph and as we've seen elsewhere "there's nothing photoshop can't fix". But it won't surprise me if/when it turns out to be true and I'd like to hear the official reaction...

Good to see Jury Nullification getting into the mainstream. That's what needs to happen

One of the more intelligent Right Wing Libertarians. The kind the more intelligent Left Wing Libertarians and us middle of the road anarchists might just be able to connect with. After all, who can argue with: "It's tough to motivate the proletariat toward social justice when that will prevent them from watching Lost, Tivo or no Tivo."

As usual, he doesn't understand socialism, but then most socialists don't understand libertarianism.

Y'know what's missing here?

Dickens.

Read anything by Charles Dickens and you'll get a feel for how we used to treat kids less than a hundred and fifty years ago. How YOUR great great grandfather was treated. How your great great great grandfather treated him.

The point is that yes, of course, it's nasty bullying rather desperate and unintelligent handling of a child revealed in this story. But the clear impression the author is trying to convey is that things today are getting much worse than they used to be: I give you her opening sentence - When did kindergarten teachers get so mean?

And it just aint so...

remember that story about applicants being turned away from the police force if they have an IQ bigger than their shoesize? This story reveals one of the consequences of that policy: fucking stupid (as well as unnecessarily brutal) cops.

They've tracked this parcel for godnose how long, engineered its delivery, then raided the premises BEFORE the "criminals" have had a chance to open the package (and not report it within a reasonable time) to incriminate themselves. There is thus no obvious case to answer. And a major damages claim for the suffering and loss of two harmless dogs.

I am, of course, extremely pleased by that legal failure, but isn't it a beautiful example of how dumb the enemy can be? Yes they have the bullets and brawn, but, fortunately for us, they are blessed with shit for brains...
